Mr. Raj Nivekar

I, Raj Nivekar, the founder, and CEO of IIED established the International Institute of Event Design. I have a post graduate degree in event management with an active hand in event management, design, and decor. During my time in college, I acquired abundant knowledge of events and all the related prospects and field experience which translates directly to the planning and creation of truly spectacular events. I always felt inclined towards designing and organising little things in a mannerly fashion since childhood. The decoration, flowers and lights of events and weddings symbolised life and happiness to me. All these aspects together finally brought out the event designer in me.


I started my journey in 2016 as a freelance wedding and event manager. I thoroughly enjoyed my work and soon realized my passion for decor and design. On the way to follow my passion, I set out to find an established institute to quench my thirst of learning event designing, but did not find any proper institute providing such teaching. I struggled to get a job in companies due to lack of work experience in the specific field and particular skills required for design which can only be learned through a course. Still, the hope and love to achieve my dream career did not diminish. Soon, I searched for a way to learn all the required skills and then fortunately I got my hands on a software course, which was sufficient for me to get skilled enough to start my career as an event designer. After completing the course, I was able to master prominent skills such as production design and managed to get my first job.


When I look back to my journey, I realize that a lot more resources could have made my career choice brighter and my journey on this path smooth. As we all know, necessity is the mother of discovery. In my days, I was not able to find an appropriate institute and had to struggle due to the same, therefore, I decided to educate students who aspire to be event designers and event managers who keen to educate themselves in event design through verified and certified courses so that no other candidate must struggle due to lack of education and opportunities.
